If you have installed or updated Java on your computer recently then you know that over three billion devices run Java in the world. Everything from computers, printers, routers, cell phones, BlackBerry, parking meters, Kindle, credit cards, security systems to cable boxes.

Java (the programming language) was developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems but is now a subsidiary of Oracle. Java is now serving over 3 billion devices, that’s a lot of hardware.
